I joined the faculty of EIE department at HUST in 2008 as an associate professor, after receiving Ph.D. in Computer Science from Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Case Western Reserve University. Now my research focuses on computer networking, especially algorithms and architectures for high-performance networks and wireless networks. I lead the Networked and Communication Systems Research Group (NEST), which is part of the Media and Communication Lab (MC Lab), Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Here are some of my ongoing projects:

  • Ambient intelligence in sensor networks.
  • Data management for mobile and wireless applications.
  • Peer-to-peer systems and services.
  • Highly available and reliable networked systems.
  • Network management and traffic engineering.
  • Overlay networks and content-aware routing.
